Ten things: Brett Favre

A list of 10 things Brett Favre should do in 2011:

10. Delete Jenn Sterger, Randy Moss, and Brad Childress from his contacts, he won't be needing those this year.

9. Throw the football around at the local high school, you know, just in case.

8. Make a new Wrangler commercial.

7. Spend some time convincing the Packer faithful (or maybe himself) that he should go into the Hall as a Packer, because he should.

6. Pay off his $50,000 fine in monthly installments, or maybe just all at once.

5. Work on his communication skills since he will probably be asked to be an ESPN analyst or at least do color commentary for the local Vikings broadcasts.

4. Start writing his book, because you know there will be one out evetually.

3. Get 4 shadow boxes to hang his jerseys in: one for the Pack, one for the Jets, one for the Vikings and leave one empty, just in case.

2. Pay a visit to Lambeau, in the off-season, when no one is around.

1. The number one thing Brett Favre should do in 2011: RETIRE, for real this time!

New Year's Resolutions

A list of New Year's Resolutions for professional, and some collegiate, organizations:

NFL: The NFL should resolve to make more money on illegal hits next season because they obviously didn't make enough this year. Oh wait, maybe they should just resolve to have a 2011 season!

NBA: The NBA should resolve to highlight more than 5 players: Miami's big three, Kobe, and Blake Griffin. Aren't there other players in the NBA? I'm not really sure, I only hear about these 5.

MLB: The MLB should resolve to...ummm no one really cares about baseball during football season.

NHL: The NHL should resolve to find more ways to get people to watch them like play a game in a baseball stadium on New Year's day, oh they've already done that?? I'm out of ideas.

NCAA F: The NCAA should resolve to educate their players on what it means to be a college athlete. Maybe they will 5 years down the road when the Heisman trust decides to take away Cam Newton's Heisman before they actually finish their "investigation".

NCAA BB: The NCAA should resolve to expand the Big Dance, again.

Why

If you turn my television on chances are it will be tuned into ESPN. I usually watch Sportscenter multiple times a day to stay current. I have this wonderful obsession with sports and the current happenings of the drama that is professional, and even college athletics.

I have always loved to write. And I always have an opinion about sports. At family gatherings you won't find me sitting with the women at the table chatting, I am usually sitting on the couch with the men watching the game and giving my opinion to anyone who will listen.

I love having an opinion and giving about something that I know well. That is why I started this blog. I want to have a place where I can give my opinion, in hopefully a funny, serious or knowledgeable way, whatever I am feeling about a particular topic. So I hope whoever wants to read this will enjoy or at least respect my opinion and maybe even start up a good argument.

Enjoy :)
